You will see this screen enter your postcode and click “post code “. This returns amongst other things.
It is the LR Number you require
NJ 875 111

When you get there select
On next screen scroll down to
Enter NJ8711 as circled above
Below are the wind speeds results for 3 differing mast heights. The yellow square is your site, each other is the square km surrounding you. The higher your mast the higher the wind speed and better the yield.
These wind speeds do not and cannot account for trees, buildings, valleys. They are inaccurate for urban areas and with is no allowance for the effect of local thermally driven winds such as sea breezes or mountain/valley breezes.
Calculating your wind resource
It is prudent to get a good understanding of how much wind you have in your location prior to embarking on a wind turbine installation.
|
·
|
Desk Research this is easy, ReGenTech will do this as a matter of course for you.
|
|
·
|
Field measurement Where we install an anemometer on you site and measure the wind profile. The larger the turbine the more critical you do this.
|
Having you average wind speeds this can be adjusted for local conditions In some case it ca be upgraded but most cases downgraded for the effect is of
turbulence and sheltering.
