Power Tower

Background
   For some time ReGenTech have been aware of the need for very low power systems of less than 50w average load. Such, generllay remote, applications include:

      Telemetary
      Survaliance
      Intruder Alarms
      Radio Repeaters

ReGenTech have been able to develop our Power Tower system as a result of funding from the Scottish Government under their Fuel Cell Development Fund.

The current issues
   These, and many other, spplications are normally served with a grid connection, generator or batteries. Often, these solutions are never the most economical or enviromentally friendly. Latterly, small pv and wind battery charger systems have been employed, however these still suffer from energy shortfalls which cause battery damage and load dropping. They also do not nessesserally optimise the recovery of energy from the renewable input.

Here's what we can do for you
   We have been able to develop a highly veratile power conditioning card. This is capable of optimising the energy recovery from any micro-renewable source. This ensures that the load has a continuous supply of power. By coupling this with a direct methanol fuel cell system, we can provide months of autonomy for any low power application.

How we acheive this
   A Typical system will involve a series of our modular power cards. So far, for many sites, we feel that a 300W wind turbine, and 300W of PV panels are required, these and a 50W direct methanol fuel cell system together with a optimally sized battery and methanol store can guarantee 50W 24hour average load at similar or better avaibility than the mains power grid.
