May we wish you and yours all the very best for the Christmas Season and may a more sustainable and more environmentally responsible 2008 emerge.
Our offices will be shut down over the holiday period but we can be contacted on our mobile phones if required. We have completed a number of jobs since the last newsletter and look forward to a busy 2008.
Kingswells Primary School Renewable Energy Challenge
It has become customary for us to support a local school in lieu of sending Christmas cards by post. This year we supported Kingswells Primary School Participate in a renewable energy challenge set by Shell Exploration in Aberdeen and in particular the Nelson Platform.
The challenge was to consider how to power the Shell Office’s Christmas tree lights and build a model. The school researched all aspects of renewable energy and built a fuel cell powered model and a bio fuel model, (a steam engine burning sticks). The teams Duncan’s Energisers and Karbon Kidz came a creditable 3rd. equal.

The house is now in construction with the PV schedule for fitting during January whilst ReGenTech are assembling the power system modules. The wind, solar thermal and hydrogen systems are scheduled for and the whole fully commissioned by End March.
Power Tower progress report
The PV and wind systems are installed on our office and the system characterisation continues. We have good understanding now of the power management regime we will be invoking with detailed design and fabrication commencing January.
